飼料添加劑：二氫吡啶是一種新型綠色多功能的飼料添加劑，具有廣泛的生物學功能，在醫(yī)學上用作心血管疾病的防治保健藥物，有治療脂肪肝、中毒性肝炎、抗衰老、防早熟等作用。進一步科學研究發(fā)現，二氫吡啶具有促進動物生長、改善皮毛質量、提高瘦肉率、提高繁殖性能及防病抗病等功能。二氫吡啶最初由前蘇聯科學家合成并應用，因其具有天然抗氧化劑VE的某些作用，最早在20世紀30年代，主要用作動植物油的抗氧化劑，70年代，前蘇聯拉脫維亞專家們(ValdmanAReChemicalbooktal.1997)發(fā)現其具有促進畜禽生長作用以來，世界各國相繼展開了相關研究，并發(fā)現二氫吡啶有促進畜禽生長、改善畜禽產品品質、提高畜禽繁殖性能及防病等功能。我國對二氫吡啶的研究開始于20世紀80年代初，現已有多個廠家批量生產和投入使用，取得較好的試驗效果。二氫吡啶能抑制脂類化合物的過氧化過程，從而阻止生物膜的氧化，對體內的組織細胞產生保護作用，具有天然抗氧化劑維生素E的某些功能。因而可提高牛、羊、豬、雞、鵪鶉等畜禽的日增重，尤其能提高奶牛情期受胎率、種公牛精液質量及種肉雞的受精率，且可抑制動物體內脂肪形成，提高胴體瘦肉比率。
